The Underground: A Journey Through the Evolution of Graffiti & Street Art

The Underground is an immersive art exhibit showcasing NYC graffiti & street art with live events, Q&As, films, & artist performances.

The Underground is a deep dive into graffiti and street art with all its influence globally throughout multiple mediums and lifetimes. This is not just a series about the art movement and culture, but how it is connected to everything around us and how art is ultimately the one timeless piece that is a permanent fixture in society. To understand the creation, their motives, the psyche of the artist, and the other avenues they take or use to express themselves. A complex world interweaving the many different levels of sophistication from on the streets, to confined to the walls of the gallery itself.

The Exhibit showcase hosted by Chain Link Productions at Green Lung Studio, curated by Ellis Gallagher & Sam Patrone. Working with renowned New York graffiti and street artists who showcase the arc of the artistic narrative from creation to present day. With artistic pioneers and new talent we will showcase the many levels of how these artistic movements impacted these cultures fiercely with style that was situated within skaters, actors, and musicians. How many of these artists contributed to the creation of these brands and the famous designs made along the way. This is getting to the innate understanding of why these messages speak so loudly to the public, but in all of its glorious forms legal, or illegal.
